The bend of this proud firefighter's head seems to reflect every ounce of the exhaustion and sorrow which seems very tangible even through the cool while grace of ice which forms the sculpture. The sorrow of the angel by his side, seems powerful in it's comfort even as the angel grieves while at the same time striving to give comfort.
We must never forget. And, we must never forget to honor those who serve us and daily place their own life on the line for our safety, whether it is a member of an armed service, or an officer of the law, or a fire fighter - there is someone watching over us, fighting for our safety, our freedom 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
