Happy Friday!
This weekend is what our family considers to be the true kick off to summer ~ its recital weekend.
Tonight will be the dress rehearsal, amazing how many of the dancers will show up totally unprepared for the stage. One year a dancer was missing her entire costume, tap shoes and didn't have her make-up or hair close to being done.
"I just thought it was a regular practice."
"Really, then why is it called "Dress Rehearsal"
While dress rehearsal is being held, there will be a pizza fundraiser; sign ups for summer dance camp and sign ups for next season's classes. Of course, Manda has already signed up for all the tap classes and is keeping her options open.
Saturday is the actual recital ~ always fun to see the excited, young dancers and hope they don't get stage fright at the last minute. One year, one of the 3 year olds got so nervous, she actually wet the stage. Sad..... but such an honest reaction to the excitement. This will be Manda's 10th summer recital. Hard to believe....

Let's give this a try
Blogging - seems to be a good way to express thoughts and share everyday laughter. Altough, I have to admit, I doubt I am funny enough to grab anyone's attention.
