was AMAZING!!!!!!
I suffered from information overload by the end of the day, but it wasn't a bad thing. Once Manda and I had a moment to unwind and chat the information all made sense again.
Amanda is back on the campus (which is BEAUTIFUL!) today to officially register for her classes, get her student ID card, and possibly her parking pass. It looks like she will be taking 15 units her 1st semester. YIKES!
I had the pleasure of touring the campus yesterday ---- it is HUGE and almost a complete city in and of itself. There are approximately 25,000 students enrolled; and more than 1/5 of them are business majors.
Manda is a business major with a minor in criminal justice.
I think she'll love every minute of being a freshman on a university campus. Best of all .... it is right in our own back yard!

CSUS..... Here we COME!!!
Manda and Brittany just before Graduation
Manda and Chloe...these two make me laugh out loud they are so fun!I have been looking forward to this day all summer long.....
We'll spend the day touring the campus and attending seminars and workshops. Then on Thursday she'll go back and start registering for classes.
Since neither Russ or I attended college (the little I attended community college can't possibly count!) we are super excited and a bit overwhelmed by this process.

Hopefully I will have lots of pictures to share detailing our orientation journey!
Congratulations Miss Manda!!!! Dad and I are so very proud of you!

Busy weekend! Busy week! Where has June Gone?
Life has been busy. Good, but busy. It seems as if we can not quite catch a breath and find time to just relex. But...at the same time, being busy keeps us from being couch potatoes and that is definately a good thing. Although my cat would tell you that a good cat nap is what makes life "purrfect!"
Our church had a rummage sale and street fair this last week. It was HOT HOT HOT and a great rehearsal for this week's Fireworks booth. I love our chuch family. Unconditional love and acceptance. The word of our Lord and Savior and fellowship time. AWESOME!
Manda had dance rehearsal and recital this weekend. I was a BAD mom and FAILED to take pictures. Not that I didn't want to.... I just failed to put the camera into my hand and click the button. Yeah, the camera sat in my purse the entire weekend.
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED each of Manda's tap dances, and once the pictures come in, I'll see what I can do about remembering to post them.
And -- this week is shaping up to be a real fire cracker!
Yup! That is right! Fireworks booths open tomorrow! Our chuch has a booth located near the corner of Manzanita and Fair Oak in the Wells Fargo / Big Lots parking lot.
Should be lots of fun!!!
Come out and see us at: 7225 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608
Just in case I don't hop back on this week ... Happy 4th of July my friends!!!!

Church of the Harvest Summer Sale and Street Fair

Yes, that is a mouthful!!
Church of the Harvest in Citrus Heights, California is having a Summer Sale and Street Fair. The purpose of the street fair is to raise $10,000.00 in just 7 days.
Why?
Because at Church of the Harvest our mission statement is who we are and what we want to do for Christ:
Our Mission Statement
To be, and develop committed Christians with a passion to please God, a desre to fulfill their purpose on the earth, and a compassion for the lost. To proclaim God’s truth to our neighborhoods, our cities and our world. To bring healing and help to the victims or sin, loss and pain. To build people in their knowledge and relationship with God. To place people in service for God in His church, to further His kingdom. To train and send ministries for future harvest fields. To keep our lives and ministry focused on God and His plan for us. To be a church where the hurting get healing, the lost get found, and those who are down, get up!
Please, come out and see us! We'd love to enjoy your company!
